1981, in St. Elizabeth Hospital,
where he had been a patient one
day. He had been in failing health
two years.
Born at Rossville, Ill., he moved
to Carroll County as a child and had
lived at Lafayette since 1972. In
1915 he was married to Nellie G.
Cook. He farmed in the Cutler area
for 52 years, retiring in 1972. He
was a member of Pyrmont United
Methodist Church.
Surviving with the wife are a
daughter, Mrs. James (Annabelle)
King o f Lafayette; three grandchildren
and six grandchildren. A
son and a daughter preceded him in
death.
Services were Sunday at Lafayette
with the Rev. Ora Myers and Rev.
Don Denton officiating. Interment
was in Ball Hill Cemetery.
