Wallace 'Rusty' Gorrie, 82, of 2850 West Mablewood, died Thursday.
A Whatcom county residence since 1907, he was one of the founders of Blue Ribbon Creamery and worked in the dairy industry until he retired in 1973.
Survivors include his wife, Delma 'Donna' Gorrie; a son Clayton Gorrie of Newport Beach, Calif; a sister, Janice Clark of Vancouver, Wash., three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Private family graveside service will be held. The body will be cremated and ashes placed at Saxon Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, c/o of Mrs Steven Schwind, 2816 Azalea Place, Bellingham, WA 98226.
Arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home and cremation by Greenacres Crematorium.
