Niehaus, Joan F. born June 27, 1941 in St. Louis to the late Frank and Hilma Niehaus, died Sat., March 31, 2012. Surviving Joan is her sister Gail (late John) Jennings, aunts, uncles, cousins and Joan's best friend and chosen extended family: Renee (late Tom) vonHatten, Goddaughter Jennifer (Matt) Ziemianski, Drew, Ali and Mikayla Ziemianski, Kristy (Christopher) Kimbrell, Emily, Elia, Lily, Sera Kimbrell, Beth, Olivia and JoJo von Hatten. Joan, a 1963 graduate of Jewish Hospital School of Nursing, continued her nursing at Jewish Hospital, retiring in 2006 from BJC. Joan's many friends and family will attest to Joan's lifetime love of children, animals, nature, trees and a recent passion for NFL football. Services: Visitation Friday, April 6, 4-7:30 p.m. with service at 6:30 p.m., at BOPP Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood. In lieu of flowers, donations to the APA appreciated.
