Spanish poet and writer. A member of the Communist Party of Spain since 1931. The author of collections of surrealistic poems "Thirst" (1921), "The City" (1928), biographies of films artists. He lived in the USSR from 1939. In 1942-1964 he edited Spanish version of the magazine "Soviet literature".
