The 3 Jan 1896 edition of the Belleville, KS, Telescope reported, "Died, of membraneous croup, last Friday morning, the little son of Charles Hill. He was a bright little fellow of three years. The remains were interred in the Willoughby cemetery Saturday." He may have been buried at his mother's feet, where a small stone without an inscription still stands.
