Artist. Born in Melbourne, Australia, he sailed for London, England, to pursue his goals of becoming an artist in 1923 and studied at the Royal Academy Schools of Art. He chose the technique of dry point etching as his principal style and produced over 500 original plates, (1925-45). In 1939, he was commissioned by Queen Mary for a painting of her son King George VI, which is on permanent display in the Royal collection at Windsor, Castle. The high point in his career was in the late 1940s, when the prestigious Brook Street Art Gallery gave him a one-man exhibition. He died at age 43 in Ramsgate, England.
