Even while this sad funeral was taking place at the cemetery, the angel of death called another child, and Roy E., in the fifth year of his age, joined his two sisters, his death occurring at 2:00 p.m. today.
Annie, the other daughter who is seriously ill, is reported by the physician as better today. Truly and entire community can mourn with the bereaved family who have been so grievously afflicted.
Little Elsie Witter, who was eight years old in January, died at 11:30 Sunday night of scarlatina, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Witter, west of the city. The little girl and her older sister, aged 10, had been to school on Thursday, and that night Elsie was taken sick, and although medical aid was summoned, it proved of no avail, and on Sunday night she died. The afflicted parents are not only called upon to mourn the loss of their beloved daughter, but the same dread fever has fastened on another daughter, aged ten, and a five-year old son, and both are so dangerously ill as to cause the parents and friends the gravest anxiety. The funeral of Elsie will take place on Wednesday, with interment in Oakwood.
