American Actor. Born Warde F. Tatum, he appeared as an extra in several films for Paramount Pictures before enlisting in the Navy during World War II, rising in the ranks to become an officer. Following the war, he resumed his acting career and appeared in several television shows and series, including 'Let There Be Stars', 'Zip Goes a Million', 'The Dinah Shore Chevy Show', 'The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp', 'Get Smart' and 'Banning'. On October 7, 1965, he married comedienne Phyllis Diller, which was a second marriage for both. On film, he had roles in 'The Shakiest Gun in the West' (1968), appeared alongside Diller in 'Did You Hear the One About the Traveling Saleslady?' (1968) and had roles in several more TV shows before the couple divorced on May 12, 1975. Among other films he went on to appear in were 'Treasure of Matecumbe' (1976), 'Gus' (1976), 'Mac Arthur' (1977), 'Hot Lead and Cold Feet' (1978) and 'Herbie Goes Bananas' (1980). Warde's last appearance was on the TV movie 'Isabel's Choice' in 1981. He died of natural causes.
