Julia Anonby was born in Kenyon, probably at the family farm. Her parents were Peder and Sofia Lien Anonby. Julia was raised in Dodge County, Minnesota after her family moved to a farm there in 1898. She attended the same one-room school and South Zumbro Lutheran Church, with Ingvald Eidem. They were baptized and confirmed at that same church too. They also married at the South Zumbro Lutheran Church. Julia and Ingvald had one son, Gordon, who was raised in Kasson, Minnesota.

Ingvald had a car dealership in Kasson, which he later moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where the couple lived for many years. Later, Ingvald and Julia moved to the Washington, DC, area to live near their son. Julia died in Maryland, on September 16, 1979, Ingvald had died in Hennepin County, Minnesota, in 1976. Both Ingvald and Julia are buried at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Minneapolis.
