Ellen Kilshaw (Fuller) Channing was mother of five children --Margaret Fuller (Channing) Loring (1844-1932), Caroline Sturgis (Channing) Cabot (1846-1917), Walter Channing (1849-1921), Giovanni Eugene Channing (1853-1921), and Edward Perkins Channing (1856-1931). Walter Channing was a noted psychiatrist and hospital administrator who founded a psychiatric hospital in Brookline, MA. Edward Perkins Channing was a distinguished professor of history at Harvard University, who won the Pulitzer Prize in 1926 for his six-volume history of the United States.
