Oscar W. Anderson, 94, died peacefully on June 22, 2011, in Klamath Falls with family and Klamath Hospice at his side.

At his request, no public services will be held. Cremation will be conducted through Ward's Klamath Funeral Home.
He was born on Nov. 30, 1916, in Merrill, Wis., to Albert and Elizabeth (Nelson) Anderson. He was one of six children.
In 1933-34, he was in the CCCs in North Wisconsin in Camp Ghost Creek and Camp Newwood. He g raduated from Broadway High School in Seattle, Wash., in 1936 and arrived in Klamath Falls in 1937.
In 1939, he was postmaster at Pine Ridge u nt i l it b u r n e d i n August.
In 1940, he married Dorothy Berglund and a year later occupied the house that they have resided in ever since. After a variety of jobs, he became a New York Life Insurance agent, retired in 1993.
He wa s ac t ive i n Boy Scouts, the historical society, K lamath Lutheran Church, Toastmasters, Shrine Drum Cor ps, a nd Swed ish Lodge Vasa. He enjoyed music and played the clarinet, harmonica, and button accordion.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy; son Robert of Klamath Falls; daughter Stina and John Forney of Vancouver, Wash.; g randchildren Frank and Adriana Forney of San Francisco, Beth and Dick Blair of Portland, and Cathy and Peder Golberg of Vancouver; g r e at - g r a ndc h i ld r en Chelsea and Taylor Blair of Portland, Toresen and Oscar Golberg of Vancouver, and Jack, Cooper and Malena Forney of San Francisco.
His parents, sister Wilma, brothers Alfred, Albert, Carl and Robert, and his son David preceded him in death.
