Edward M. Ted Savoie, 68, of Quincy, passed away July 14, 2012. He was the loving husband of Terttu T. (Marttinen) Savoie. Mr. Savoie enjoyed playing the piano and organ, and he was a long-time organist for Faith Lutheran Church in Quincy, where he was a member. He worked for many years as both a software designer, as well as in senior management for various software companies, retiring in 2003. He leaves his wife, Terttu T. Savoie; and a son Thomas M. Savoie and Benvinda MacDougall of Weymouth. He was the cherished grandfather of Aaron Savoie of Quincy and Angelica Savoie of Weymouth. Also survived by a large extended family. Sadly, he was preceded in death by a son, Jan E. Savoie in 2003. His funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held Thursday July 19 at 10 a.m. in Faith Lutheran Church, 201 Granite St, Quincy. Interment to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Visiting hours Wednesday, July 18 from 4-8 p.m. at the Hamel, Wickens & Troupe Funeral Home, 26 Adams St. Quincy Center.
