DWIGHT PARRISH, 75, Webster City, died Wed. Aug. 21, 2002 at Hamilton Hospital in Webster City. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30p.m.at the Foster Funeral Home, Rev. Gerald Caquelin and Pastor Ray Artsip officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery at Webster City. Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #191.

Dwight Clifford Parrish, son of Lyman and Flora Segar Parrish, was born May 15, 1927 at Woolstock. He attended Webster City schools, graduating in 1944. During WWII, he served with the Army Air Corps Band in Okinawa. Following his discharge, he attended Webster City Junior College.., Then Drake University, majoring in music. He resided in Des Moines for 30 years and was employed at Continental Trailways Bus Company. Following his retirement, he moved to Webster City.

Mr. Parrish is survived by his brothers, Joe Parrish of Webster City, Richard Parrish of Ottumwa; sister, Mary O'Connor of Manning; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lee and Charles Parrish, sister, Lucille Parrish.

He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #191, andd was a trumpet player for the Al Welsh Band and several bands in the Des Moines area.
