Mayfield- Clarence M. Braun ,70 of Mayfield died Saturday at Munson hospital in Traverse City after a short illness.
Born April 7 ,1891 at Manchester, the son of John and Mary Braun, he was a bartender at Jackson for many years before moving to Mayfield. He belonged to the Jackson Elks lodge.
Surviving are the widow, Harriet; two daughters, Mrs. Douglas Featherley of Jackson and Mrs William Fitzgerald of Providence R.I. ;two step-daughters ,Mrs Frank White of Leslie and Mrs Clare Heiler of Rives Junction; one step-son Herbert Wright of Mayfield ; 13 grandchildren ; his mother Mrs. Mary Braun of Jackson ;two sisters Miss Margaret Braun and Mrs. Gertrude Brown,both of Jackson; and one one brother,Harold of Jackson.
The body was taken on Sunday from Smith funeral home in Kingsley to Jackson ,where,where funeral services will be held at Wetherby funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday .Burial will be in Roseland Memorial cemetery,Jackson
