He was a son of the late Michael and Eliza (Delp) Klinger and was a native of Upper Mahanoy Township, Northumberland County. He had resided in the Edrman community most of his life and was a member of the Klingerstown Lutheran Church.
Survivors are his wife, formerly Miss Lizzie Scheib, and the following children, Beulah, Mrs. Austin Coleman of Gratz, Walter Klinger of Hegins; Daniel Klinger of Hebe; Katie, Mrs.William Rettinger of Newtown; Claude Klinger of Hegins; Charles Klinger and Thomas Klinger of Harrisburg; Roy Klinger of Erdman; Eva, Mrs. Ray Shade of Dornsife R. D. Other survivors are twenty-eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two brothers, Albert and Oscar Klinger of Klingerstown R. D.
Funeral services were held from the residence Saturday morning. Rev. Stauffer, pastor of the Line Mountain Lutheran Parish officiated and interment was made in the Gratz Cemetery.
