On July 14, 2012, Tom passed away peacefully with his family by his side.
He was born in 1924 in Leigh, Nebraska to Emil and Ruth Trojan. He joined the US Navy and was a signalman during WWII. Tom met his "Bride" of 65 yrs, Carol Thoreson in Seattle, Washington. They settled on a farm in Leigh, NE before moving to Utah in 1960 where Tom began his truck driving career with Garrett Freightlines and then drove for P.I.E. until his retirement in 1985. Upon retirement Tom and Carol enjoyed a long retirement together, traveling to all 50 states-mostly in their motor home.
Survived by his children: Becky and Steve Andersen of Murray; John and Julie Trojan of Draper; Cathy Johnson of Murray; Bill Trojan and Susan Stone of Houston, TX; eight grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 240 East 5600 South, Murray. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening, July 17,2012 at 6-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St. and on Wednesday at the church from 12-12:45 p.m. prior to the funeral. Interment: Leigh Nebraska.
