After Hillery's death, Sarah, and the two youngest sons, Willis and Willoughby, returned to their old home in Pitt County, North Carolina where she bought land from Hillery's brother, Henry.
In 1813, she sold the property back to Henry and returned to Georgia along with her sons.
She is thought to be the older female living with Willoughby Cason in Bryan County GA in the 1820 census.
She apparently died between 1820 and 1830.
