VEGA — Harold Raymond George Sr., 74, of Vega died Friday, July 6, 2012, in Amarillo.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., in Amarillo with Bryan Cooper, chaplain of Heritage Convalescent Center, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers in Vega, 110 S. Main St.
Mr. George was born March 11, 1938, in Higgins to Landon and Tessa George.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Tessa Annis George; his father, Landon Edward George; a son, Joseph Harold George; a brother, Carrol Edward George; and five sisters, Virginia Alice Range, Barbra Ann Fickling, Alberta JoAnn Fickling and Ester Faye George.
Survivors include four sons, Danny Ray George and Robbin Bert George, both of Oklahoma, Alva Clinton George of Texas and Harold Raymond George Jr. of Vega; four brothers, Roland Bert George and wife Nancy and David Lee George and wife Marty, all of Oklahoma, and Dennis Lynn George and wife Barbara and Dile Landon George, all of Texas; three sisters, Crenetha Ellen Roberts and Marilyn Jean Kemp, both of Texas, and Emma May Easter of Arizona; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
