Stella M. Burns Hilty, 78, of 990 Sugar Hollow Rd., Kiski Twp., died Tuesday (Nov. 6, 1990) in her home.

Born July 13, 1912, in Armstrong County, she lived in Kiski Twp. most of her life.

Mrs. Hilty was a member of the Church of God in Kittanning.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, David E. Hilty; three sons, Marr Welch of Warren, Ohio, Dave Hilty, Jr. of Christopher, Ill., and Roy Hilty of Lucasville, Ohio; five daughters, Evelyn Moore of Warren, Ohio, Carolyn Bryant of Plantville, Fla., Delores Fulmer of Butler, Vivian Moore of Dallas, Texas, and Karen Bier of Kiski; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; a brother, John Burns of Florida; and two sisters, Aretta Scott of Kiski Twp. and Elizabeth Stover of Kittanning.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Henry Hilty and George Boberts; and her parents, John and Stella Metzler Burns.

Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 0 p.m. in the Curran Funeral Home Inc., 322 N. Second St., Apollo, where services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Kenneth Dugger. Burial will be in Spring Church Lutheran Cemetery, Kiski Twp.
