Lillian was born in Ireland, Indiana on July 2, 1927 to Milton and Geneva (Kearby) Armstrong. She married Urban Eckert on September 11, 1948 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on August 15, 2010.
She was a homemaker and had worked in the Ireland school cafeteria.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ireland and their St. Anne's Society, and the Ireland Sportsman's Club.
Lillian enjoyed puzzles, collecting Hallmark ornaments and dolls, watching FOX news, and was a St. Louis Cardinals, Indiana Pacers, and IU basketball fan.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the church.
