from Funeral Program:
Bea was the daughter of Seaton and Susie Myers. Her parents, and brothers and sisters, Ray, Ernest, Lottie, Marie, Erma, Angie and Gen are all deceased.
Times were hard, but there was always time to help others in need. One of her favorite stories was of being able to keep the family Model T running when no one else could do it. Laughing was the glue that held the family together.
She married Ernest (Swede) Arnold at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Anthony on October 26, 1938. Four children were born to this union. Such a strong faith they have.
Bea was a member of the Altar Society of the Church and chocolate pies for their yearly food sale were her specialty. Many visitors, pots of coffee, many home cooked meals and many laughs are memories to never be forgotten.
In June of 1974, a great loss came when Swede passed away in a vehicle accident. Bea showed her great strength and strong will by being a good "boss."
Her tiny body began to weaken in these last few years. With the assistance of family and many friends, she remained at home until June of 2003, at which time she became a resident at Anthony Community Care Center and all the good people there made that big adjustment a good move. She loved each one of them like her own family.
Many stories can be shared about this little lady, but you could not mention anything bad about others. She looked for only good, which she saw in everyone. When asked how she felt, her answer would be, "Not too bad."
We all know Bea did not like to be alone. As the time came for her to resign her earthly life, she so peacefully passed away on April 2, 2005. We must all be grateful for her life, but we can be assured that her trip to Heaven was not be herself, because Pope John Paul also died at the same time. We all feel he stopped by Anthony to usher her to the Heavenly Gate.
