Anna S. Jorgensen, 86, a resident of the Dilley Unit died there Friday, Dec. 21, 1984, following an extended illness. Born May 8, 1898, to Ole and Toni (Olsen) Vinge in Lakeville, she attended school in Scott County. She married Sofus Jorgensen Sept. 3, 1918, in Hastings. The couple farmed in the Northfield area for a number of years then moved their family to Farmington. Jorgensen was employed there for many years by the Twin City Milk Co. He died in June 1977. Mrs. Jorgensen had lived at the Dilley Unit for six years after having suffered a stroke. Survivors include a son, Clifford Jorgensen of Mound; a daughter, Bernadine (Mrs. Jack) Hendrickson of Hopkins; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held Monday, Dec. 24, at the Benson Funeral Home in Northfield with the Rev. Charles VonFischer officiating. Mrs. Donald Klinefelter was the organist; Sigurd Fredrickson, the soloist. Burial was at Oaklawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Grover Hoffman, Paul Kindem, Clifford Brandhorst, Roy Thompson, Jack Hendrickson, and Victor F. Goodman. Arrangements were handled by Benson Funeral Home.
