William B. "Bill" Sole, 60, of Route 2, Waverly, died Tuesday afternoon in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Wood County, son of the late Joseph B. and Rhoda Williams Sole. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, was a World War II veteran, a lead burner and member of the Lead Burners Local No. 153 in Linden, N.J. He operated a small engine repair shop.
He is survived by his wife, Lenora Burdette Sole; a son, Ronald B. of Waverly; two daughters, Connie LeMaster of Walker and Shirley Cornell of Waverly; a brother Lewis Sole of Spring Lake, N.C.; seven sisters, Mrs. Charles Lott and Ada Winters of Parkersburg, Mrs. Robert Dugan of New Haven, Mrs. Boyd Hopson of Atwater, Ohio, Mrs. Andy Horvath of Fruitland, Fla., Mrs. Olin Geer of Magnolia Ohio, and Mrs. Paul Moore of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be a 11 a.m. Friday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with burial in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Friends my call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today where the family will greet friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
