Zalma - Roy Woodrow Davis, a Zalma area farmer, died Tuesday in Advance. He was 66 years old.
He was born near Zalma on June 26, 1915, to Leo and Febee Shirrell Davis. He was married March 27, 1970, to the former Mrs. Mary Green, who survives.
He was a member of the Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church near Zalma.
Also surviving is a stepson, Arthur D. Green; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Laverne Hampton and Mrs. Joyce Day; a brother, George Davis; seven sisters, Mrs. Rosetta Mouser, Mrs. Lettie Shell, Mrs. Lola Slaughter, Mrs. Ethel Ellis, Mrs. Lora Shelton, Mrs. Opal Gardner and Miss Mildred Davis; eight step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home with burial in the Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery near Advance.
