Emile L. Durocher, 67, 27 Arch Ave., a U.S. Army veteran of World Wars I and II,
died Sunday at Jamaica Plain Veterans Administration Hospital.

He was born in Montreal, Canada, son of Moise and Valerie (Emond) Durocher. He
served with the Army for more than 15 years in foreign and domestic fields of
war. He was a retired shoe worker, a Haverhill resident of 25 years and a
member of St. Joseph’s parish.

He leaves two sons, Russell, Alabama, and Emile L. Durocher Jr., U.S. Air Force,
San Angelo, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Roland Blackburn, Kingston, N.H.; Mrs.
Albert Sayers, Mrs. Lionel Valcourt and Mrs. Philip Dupuis, all of Haverhill;
two brothers, Raoul, Metheun, and Leo Durocher, Haverhill; six grandchildren,
and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Thursday morning at 8 from Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway.
A requiem high Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church.

Military burial service will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Visiting hours at the funeral home will be tonight from 7 to 9 and tomorrow from
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
