Mrs. Greene had suffered a heart ailment for a number of years, her last illness being of about six weeks' duration. She was born October 30, 1870, in Morris, the daughter of Isaac and Adella (Russell) Murray. Her marriage to Mr. Greene took place in Morris in 1890. He died June 24, 1928. Since that time, she had made her home with her son-in-law and her only daughter, Agnes Greene Backus, who died August 1, 1935. Surviving are three nieces, Mrs. Adelaide Settemyer of Cooperstown, Mrs. Nettie Aylesworth of Oneonta, and Mrs. Pearl Stanton of Syracuse; and three nephews, Walter Ballard of Taberg, LeRoy Hoose of Clayville, and Earl Hoose of Toddsville.
