Clarice Mae Phifer married James Franklin "Frank" Dooley. Had three children; Clayton "Leon" Dooley, Francis "Laverne" Dooley and Johnny Franklin Dooley. All three children were born in Clarendon, Arkansas. They were down on the white river by the "old Phillips place" most likely fishing. I was always told she died on the 4th of July but, records show the 2nd. The story goes, she was in the car feeding Johnny who was a baby and she had a brain hemorage and either died instantly or shortly thereafter. The family rushed her to a doctor but, no hope. She is the daughter of Dona Mae Jenkins and John Dallas Phifer. They lived in or near Helena, Arkansas. I do not know where she is buried and can not locate her grave. I suspect in Helena, Clarendon or DeValls Bluff. Her parents are buried in Oakland so I placed her memorial here. Anyone with information please contact me.
