William Perry Chitwood is the seventh child of Shadrack Chitwood and Melissa Marsh. He was born September 20, 1857 a few years after his parents moved from Grant Co Indiana with his parents (John Riley Chitwood and Barbara Cassel-Chitwood) and most of his Aunts and Uncles (John and Barbara's children).
