Eugene W. Peer, Latrobe, Formerly of Jeannette
Eugene W. Peer, 76, of Latrobe, formerly of Jeannette, passed away Monday, June 12, 2006, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Jan. 9, 1930, in Jeannette, a son of the late Samuel W. Peer and Ellen (Kepple) Peer Keller. Prior to retirement in 1993, Mr. Peer was employed by Teledyne Vasco, in Latrobe, with more than 37 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Samuel, David, Donald and Thomas Peer; his stepmother, Alma Peer; and his stepfather, Howard Keller. He is survived by his wife of almost 56 years, Julene L. (Kearns) Peer; two sons, James A. Peer and his wife, Charlotte, of Latrobe, and Thomas E. Peer and his wife, Amy, of Lagrangeville, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Jason, Shawn, Michael, Matthew, Nicole, Coleman and Declan; two half brothers, Ronald Peer, of Jeannette, and Rich Keller and his wife, Peggy, of Ohio; a half sister, Darlene Stevenson and her husband, Lee, of Greensburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe, with the church pastors officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 331 Weldon St., Latrobe, PA 15650.
