Faye attended Flatwoods Church while she was growing up and later attended the Star Junction Baptist Church. She was a member of the Uniontown Women of the Moose and was instrumental in starting the Perryopolis Chapter.
She loved playing Bingo, board games, building puzzles, solving crossword puzzles and of course, shopping for bargains with her family and friends. Faye was a fantastic cook and she loved having friends and relatives into her home to eat. She spent her life helping anyone who needed help. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Faye is survived by her husband John E. Shumar; daughter Carol Ann Lowther and husband John M.; son Steven Shumar and her grand-daughter Olivia June Lowther. She is also survived by sisters Nancy Russell and husband Sam, Cindy Sprague and husband Lee and Mary Sokol; brothers: David Arison, Bruce Arison, John Arison and wife Amy.
She is preceded in death by her parents as well as sister Hazel Arison.
Interment will be in Mt. Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis, Pa.
