ED. HENSON DIES SUDDENLY AT WINNER, S. D.

Word was received here Wednesday of the sudden death, from a heart attack, of E.W. (Ed.) Henson of Sioux City. A traveling salesman, Ed. Was in apparent good health and was out on one of is regular trips and it was in a hotel at Winner, S.D. where he passed away sometime during the night Wednesday, March 19th.

Information as to funeral arrangements are not available here at this time, but the body is to be shipped here for burial.

Surviving are his widow and four children, *Jack, Ileen, Margaret and Betty. One daughter preceeded him in death. Surviving also are four brothers, Robert of Ree Heights, Ray of Des Moines, Clay and Ralph of Bloomfield, Ia. and one sister, Mrs. E.E. Barnett of Bloomfield, Ia.

The Henson family are former residents of this vicinity and the little girl preceeding her father in death is buried in the local cemetery.

Ed. Henson Obituary

Edward Worth Henson, son of Sylvester and Elizabeth Henson, was born at Monterey, Davis County, Iowa, on June 8, 1887, and died on March 19, 1941, at the age of 53 years, 9 months and 11 days.

On March 16, 1910, he was united in marriage to Candace Gadd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Gadd of Highmore. Five children were born to them; *Jock of Sioux City, Mrs. Andrew Williamsen of Des Moines, Ia., Margaret and Betty at home, and Allana, who died in childhood.

In 1917, the family moved to a farm south of Ree Heights where they lived until 1923 when they moved into Ree Heights. After leaving Ree Heights they spent about two years in Huron. For the last 15 years, with the exception of a few months, the family has lived in Sioux city.

Beside the wife and four children, four brothers and one sister survive him. They are, Robert of Ree Heights, Ray of Des Moines, Clay and Ralph of Bloomfield, Ia., and Mrs. E.E. Barnett of West Grove, Ia.

Funeral services were held from the Congregational church here Sunday afternoon and burial was made in Morningside cemetery.

The following friends from outside the immediate community attended the funeral: Jake Obert and daughter Dorothy, Midland, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. Lawnie Bud and daughter Joyce of Valentine, Nebr., Miss Luella Todd of Valentine, Nebr. Miss Eunice Brown of Valentine, Mr. and Mrs. Ike Spence of Casper, Wyo., Mr. and Mrs. Glen Gardner of Huron, S.D., Mr. and Mrs. Hy Smith and daughter of Huron, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Dahl of Huron, S.D.
