Jewell Davis of 413 North McComb Street died early Monday morning at the Obion County Hospital in Union City following a lengthy illness. He was 47.
Mr. Davis was born November 23, 1915, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Connie Davis of Martin, who survive him.
Services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Central Baptist Church with the Reverend A. B. Adams, the Reverend C. L. Wainscott, and the Reverend James Moore officiating. Burial was in East Side Cemetery with Doug Murphy Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers were Harold Wilson, Buddy Bowers, John Miller, Wayne Bynum, Basil Ogg, Harold Butler, and O. F. Carmichael.
