Mr. Matthew Aaron Bell

Mr. Matthew Aaron Bell, 23, of Delco, NC, died on Monday, August 16, 2004 in Wilmington, NC.

He was born on March 19, 1981 in New Hanover County, NC.

Survivors include his parents, Jerry Gray Bell of Wilmington and Freda Fowler Bell of Delco; his paternal grandmother, Mary Gray Bell of Morehead City, NC; one daughter, Devon Patience Bell of Delco; one brother, David Gray Bell of Wilmington; one half-brother, Jerry Gray Bell, Jr. of Wilmington and three half-sisters, Melissa Autry and Linda Dye both of Wilmington and Donna Lynn Bowen of Delco.

The family will receive friends and family at 82 Applewhite Road, Delco, NC 28436 and at 4121 Lynbrook Drive, Wilmington, NC 28405.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2004 in the Livingston Chapel Church Cemetery in Delco, NC at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Ward officiating.

Matt was killed as the result of an automobile accident on Market Street in Wilmington, North Carolina. He was preceded in death on March 9, 2004 by his former spouse, Rachel Stocks Bell. She was the mother of their only child, Devon Patience Bell, who was seven years of age at the time of both of their deaths. Devon was raised by her grandmother, Betty Harrelson Stocks.
