Eldo was the son of Thomas and Hattie (Thompson) O'Brien.
Eldo married Ruth May Stateler, daughter of Alvah Morten and Margaret E (Schaff) Stateler 16 April 1910 in Evansville,Vanderburg Co.,Indiana. Eldo and Ruth had 8 children:Lawrence Francis,Rosie Lorene,Violet,Thelma Eliz,Marcus Leroy,Joseph,Earl Dune, and Ruby Louise.
Rosie,Thelma and Ruby left us as infants. Earl Dune O'Brien stole Marcus's ID and used it the rest of his life.

Eldo was 6' or better & just under 200 lbs. He spent his short life in a furniture factory as a finisher. The family lived in Vanderburg Co., Evansville,in.

This is my paternal gradfather. Eldo's parents were Thomas O'Brien (Jr.) & Hattie Bell Thompson. Hattie married Thomas twice & married another 6 husbands to boot ! Eldo had a brother Everett, who died in his 20's in Gary,IN. He was hit by a train. Eldo died of Pernicious Anemia due to his poor diet.
