MELVIN, KAREN K. - age 53 of Knoxville, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. She was a member of Callahan Road Baptist Church. She was a beloved wife and mother and was a very special Pre-K teacher at Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by father Vaughn Killough. Survived by husband of 33 years Steven Melvin, daughters Erin and Julia Melvin both of Mt. Pleasant S.C., sister Kathy Killough, brothers Carroll, Ken, and Gary Killough, mother Elaine Killough, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday July 14, 2012 at Callahan Road Baptist Church 1336 Callahan Drive Knoxville, TN. 37912 with Reverend Dean McCoury and Pastor Marc Sasser officiating. Interment will be in Dorchester Memory Gardens in Charleston S.C. In lieu of flowers in Knoxville the family request memorial be made to Wallace Memorial Baptist Church Pre-K Department and flowers in S.C. be sent to Dyal Funeral Home 303 South Main Street Summerville, S.C. 29483. The family will receive friends 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Saturday at Callahan Road Baptist Church. Arrangements by Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
