Kimberly Ann Byrd, 54, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on July 7, 2012.
Kimberly was born on Feb. 14, 1958 to Daniel and Julia Byrd. Kimberly married Carl Keene in 1974 and they had two children; Samantha Jean and Carl Anthony. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Samantha Jean Keene-Nassar and her father Daniel Leland Byrd.
Kimberly worked as a CNA for many years at nursing homes in Coeur d'Alene. She had a special place in her heart for the elderly.
Kimberly was a member of the Catholic Church. She was baptized at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Miami, Okla. Kimberly loved to collect little statues of Angels. Now we know the Angels are welcoming Kim into the Kingdom of God. She loved Jesus with her whole heart and soul. Kimberly's favorite things to do were read her Bible and spend time with her grandsons, Jonathan and Mikie.
Kimberly is survived by her son, Carl Anthony Keene; mother Julia Ann Byrd; brother Daniel Lewis Byrd; sister Cathy Diane Byrd; grandsons Jonathan Chase and Mikie Nassar; Niece Julie Ann Bennett; nephews Corey Miller. Jesse Bennett, and Jase Bennett; Aunts Bonnie O'Neill and Patricia Glenn; Uncles Tommy Glenn and Tom O'Neill, Cousins, J.B. , Tim , Tomi Sue & Chris O'Neill, Amber Coberly, Tammy and Cheryl Glenn.
Kimberly was proud of her Native American Heritage; Shoshone and Cherokee.
The Rosary was prayed on Wednesday, July 11, at English Funeral Chapel, in Coeur d'Alene.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, July 12 at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 919 E. Indiana Ave., in Coeur d'Alene. Kinberly will be laid to rest by her daughter and her father at St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery in Coeur d'Alene.
