Mr. Baxley retired from the grocery business five years ago. He was born in Kershaw County, son of the late John Edward and Lydia Hall Baxley.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Allen Norris and Mrs. Marie Croft, both of Camden; two sons, Dexter Baxley of Camden and Thurmond Baxley of Bethune; a brother, D. E. Baxley of Kershaw; two sisters, Mrs. C. B. Watkins of Bethune and Mrs. Lydia Stevens of Atlanta, Ga.
Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at High Hill True Light Church.
