Mrs. Jessie Murphy, 55, of 1004 Russell Road, Columbia, passed away Monday, July 21, at 5:00 p.m. at Adair Memorial Hospital, Columbia. She was the daughter of William Alexander and Mary Jo Willian Thompson of Glensfork. Mrs. Murphy is survived by her husband: Wade Murphy of Columbia; her mother: Mrs. Mary Grider of Columbia; one daughter: Mrs. Barbra Moran of Louisville; two grandchildren: Carol Hargrove and Kim Moran; one sister: Mrs. Irene Phillips of Covington, Ky.; three brothers: Bradford Thompson of Columbia, William Thompson of Chicago, Ill., Carl Thompson of Covington. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 23, at 3:30 p.m. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home by Rev. Marvin Appleby of Columbia. Interment was in Haven Hill Cemetery. Pallbeaers: Tom, James, and Ray Rice, Calvin Piercy, Chester Strong, and Jesse Akin.
