Funeral Mass for John R. Clark, of Nokomis, will be said at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Louis Catholic Church there by the Rev. Father Pat Jakel. Burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home. Prayer service will be held at 5:45 p.m. Mr. Clark died at 7:15 this morning, Wednesday, February 10, 1999, in his home. He was 72 years old on October 14, and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired farmer and trucker, a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus. He was born in Whitesville, Ky., a son of Joseph Herman and Mary Edna Howard Clark. He married Ovida Beloit on November 26, 1955. She died May 27, 1998. Surviving are daughters, Dorothy Schwartzkoph and husband Bruce of Hillsboro, Jacqueline McDaniel and husband Bruce of Jacksonville; his mother, Mary Clark of Nokomis; brothers, Floyd Clark of Ohlman, Joe Clark of Coalton, Robert and Bernard "Chub" Clark of Nokomis; a sister, Erma Janssen of Atwater; and three grandchildren, Tiffany Clark, Jason McDaniel and Erin Schwartzkoph.
