Ellen A. Oller, 93, of Taylorville died at 2:43 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Taylorville Memorial Hospital, Taylorville.
She was born September 8, 1918 in Taylorville the daughter of Elbert Otis Snow and Floy Pearl (Byers) Snow. She married Ben M. Oller who preceded her in death. Mrs. Oller was a retired garment worker and a member of the International Ladies Garment Worker Union #120 of Decatur. She was also a member of the Davis Memorial Christian Church and the Friendly Neighbors Garden Club. Mrs. Oller exhibited her flowers for many years at the Christian County Fair and could always be found in her garden, tending to the flowers that she was so proud of on the family farm west of Taylorville.
She is survived by a nephew, David G. Snow of Ballwin, Missouri and a niece, Linda K. (Snow) Close of Ottawa, Illinois, and several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2012 at Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville. Sutton Memorial Home is in charge of the arrangements.
