Leola Beatrice Cross of Greenville died Friday in a Dallas health care center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Clark Street Christian Church with Rev. Charles Faulkner and Rev. Claude Maples officiating. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery.
She was born in Greenville on Sept. 30, 1903, to Daniel and Emma Arnold Griffin. She married Bill Cross in 1936 in Greenville. She was a kindergarten teacher and a member of Clark Street Christian Church.
Surviving are a son, John Griffin of Dallas; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be elders and deacons of the church. Cozine-Tarver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
