Harold A. Kite, 89, of North Huntingdon, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006, at Mercy Jeannette Hospital. He was born July 13, 1917, in McKeesport, a son of the late Henry and Nancy (Chesser) Kite. Prior to his retirement, Harold was employed by U.S. Steel. He was a member of the AARP Bowling League, bowled scotch doubles at Greater Valley Bowling Lanes and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Hebda) Kite; a son, Joseph Kaliszewski and his wife, Elizabeth, of Portland, Ore.; three daughters, Shirley Konopka and her husband, Edward, of Harrison City, Donna Caplan and her husband, George, of Spokane, Wash., Linda Kite, of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren, Michael and Patrick Konopka, Joseph Kaliszewski, and Jessica and Ben Caplan; and four great-grandchildren, Gwendolyn, Ashley, Seth and Bobby.
