JOSEF V. KOHNLE

Josef Kohnle, 59, owner and operator of the feed and flour mill at Tisch Mills, died unexpectedly of a heart attack at his home in the village early Friday morning.
Funeral services will be at 8:45 a.m. Monday at the Klein & Stangel, Inc. Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills, the Rev. Donald Feller officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Tisch Mills.
Josef Kohnle was born in Germany March 28, 1900, a son of the late Vincent and Anna Diemer Kohnle. Learning the milling trade in Germany he immigrated to this country 31 years ago and settled at West Allis, where he was employed as a miller at the Krause Milling Co. He married the former Dorothea Linnemann, also a native of Germany, at Milwaukee Aug. 12, 1939. Mr. Kohnle took over the operation of the former Schlies and Konop mill at Tisch Mills 14 1/2 years ago. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary Church.
Besides his wife he leaves a daughter, Dorothea, at home; three sons, Rudolph, a student at the University of Wisconsin, and Frederick and Alfred at home. He also leaves four sisters and two brothers in Germany.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
