Jane L. Tulachka, age 96, a Manitowoc resident, died on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Kindred Hearts of Manitowoc.Jane was born on March 2, 1919 in Sturgeon Bay, WI, daughter of the late Joseph P. And Alma (Timble) Wergin. On October 23, 1954 she married Rudolph Tulachka in Kewaunee, WI. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1994. Jane was a graduate from Silver Lake College, class of 1964, with a degree in education. She was employed as a teacher in the school systems of Kewaunee, Sheboygan and Manitowoc Counties. Jane was a former member of the Christian Women of Holy Innocents and a current member of St. Francis of Assisi.Survivors include a niece: Beth Allen and her husband Robb, Green Bay; a nephew: Jay Wergin and his wife Jenny, Seattle, WA; a sister-in-law: Mary Beth Wergin, Green Bay; and very special friends: Kenneth and Carol Neuser, Green Bay. She is further survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by an infant son; one brother: John; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Alan Boeldt and burial will take place at St. Mary Cemetery, Tisch Mills, at a later date.Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting www.pfefferfuneralhome.com.The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
