A family reunion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Stangel on Easter Sunday, all of the five sons away from home being present. They were: Mr. and Mrs. George Stangel Jr., and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stangel and family, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Stangel and John of Two Rivers and Mrs. and Mrs. Adolph Stangel of Manitowoc. An elaborate dinner was prepared for the home comers.

Stangel

Mrs. George W. (Grandma) Stangel, 88, of Rt. 1, Mishicot, a lifelong resident of the Tisch Mills area, died at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital at 7 p.m. Friday.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Klein & Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Mary Catholic Church, Tisch Mills, the Rev. Joseph Kalisek officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Stangel, nee Frances Steffl, was born in the Town of Franklin, Kewaunee County, on Feb. 9, 1867, a daughter of the late Frank and Anna Staral Steffl. More than 65 years ago she was married to George W. Stangel, the couple taking up farming on the Stangel homestead farm, where her husband died 22 years ago. The Stangel home for more than 30 years from the turn of the century served as boarding place of most of the teachers who taught at District No. 6 School which adjoined the farm.
Mrs. Stangel was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Mary Church for many years.
Surviving are three sons, Emil of Two Rivers, Adolph of Manitowoc and William Stangel on the home farm: 11 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday.
