The marriage of Miss Emma Sladky and Chas Spevachek took place Tuesday at St.
Wencel's church, the Rev. Braun officiating. The bride wore a gown of white
shadow lace over white messaline and was attended by Miss Hynek as maid of
honor and Emil Spevachek as best man. After the ceremony the wedding party
left for Cooperstown where the wedding dinner was held at Cookel's Hall. The
young couple will reside at Zander where Mr. Spevachek owns a farm.

Charles Spevacek, 85, of 2318 Lincoln Ave., Two Rivers, died Thursday morning at Two Rivers Municipal Hospital.

Mr. Spevacek was born Feb. 20, 1887, in the Town of Gibson, son of the late Frank and Antonia Lemach Spevacek. He married Emma Sladky June 16, 1914, at Green Street. The couple farmed in the Town of Gibson until 1945, moving to Two Rivers. Mr. Spevacek was employed at Mirro Aluminum Co. until his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Mother of Hope Council No. 1957, and St. Luke Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife,

a son,
*Raymond, of Two Rivers;

three daughters,
*Mrs. Adeline Flemal,
*Mrs. Genevieve Safranek and
*Mrs. Mary Ann Kumbalek of Two Rivers;

two brothers,
*Anton and
*Emil, of Manitowoc;

11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A brother preceded him in death.
