Norbert R. Schleis, 62, of 940 S. 30th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday evening in
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday in Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc and 10 a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Phillip
Hoffmann will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery,
Tisch Mills.
Mr. Schleis was born April 26, 1915 in Kewaunee County, son of the late Joseph
and Sybil Stangel Schleis. He was educated in Manitowoc. Mr. Schleis was employed
by Gould Inc., Manitowoc, for the past seven years. He married Dorothy A.
Staudinger Aug. 10, 1943, in Manitowoc. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic
Church, Manitowoc, and Squeakers Zip Club, Tisch Mills.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Joseph of Manitowoc; a son and daughter-in-law,
James and Ann of Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and David Trost of
Manitowoc and five grandchildren. A brother, Mark, preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday where a
parish prayer service will be recited at 8 p.m.
