Mrs. Barbara Princl, 85, widow of Matt Princl, early garage operator and mechanic of Mishicot, was found dead of a heart attack in her village home at 8 p.m. Saturday.
The body was found in the bathroom of the home by Edward Krejcarek, who with his wife, occupies the upper flat in the Princl residence. When Krejcarek noted lights in the bathroom and kitchen but heard no sounds from the lower floor for several hours, he investigated. Dr. Theodore Teitgen, coroner, who was summoned, believed that Mrs. Princl had died about six hours earlier.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Specht Funeral Home, Mishicot, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mishicot, the Rev. George Beth officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Tisch Mills.
Mrs. Princl, nee Barbara Levanetz, was born in the Town of Franklin, Kewaunee County, on May 16, 1869, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Levanetz. She was married at St. Lawrence Catholic Church at Stangelville to Matt Princl on July 3, 1888. After their marriage the couple moved to the village of Mishicot where Mr. Princl established and automotive garage which he operated until his retirement a number of years ago. He died at Mishicot four years ago. In 1948 the Princls observed their diamond wedding anniversary.
Surviving Mrs. Princl are three sons, Edward of Wausau, John of La Porte, Ind., and George Princl of Mishicot; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
For many years Mrs. Princl was a member of the Holy Rosary Society of St. Mary Catholic Church at Tisch Mills.
