Alvin J. Beranek, age 88 of 716 Woodside Road, town of Carlton, Kewaunee County, died Friday evening Nov. 9, 2001 at Bellin Memorial Hospital in Green Bay.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Tisch Mills with the Rev. Joseph Coopmans O. Praem officiating along with the Rev. Douglas LeCaptain O Praem serving as Co-Celebrant. Burial will take place in the Parish Cemetery.
Alvin was born Oct. 6, 1913 in the town of Carlton, in Kewaunee County to the late Wenzel and Mary Holly Beranek and has been a lifelong resident. He married the former Eleanor Dufek, May 25, 1940 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Norman. He owned and operated the family farm in the town of Carlton for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; two sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Katherine Beranek of Wheaton, Ill., Paul and Susan Beranek of Algoma. One granddaughter, Nicole; one sister, Eleanor Lutz, of Wisconsin Rapids. Nieces and nephews further survive. He was also preceded in death by one brother and five sisters.
Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Lambert Funeral Home in Mishicot. There will be a 7 p.m. parish wake service Tuesday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue after 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Tisch Mills until the time of service at 11 a.m.
