Mrs. Anna Alverta (Shindle) Albright, 94, formerly of Shiloh, died Wednesday morning, July 11, 2012, at Menno Haven, Chambersburg. She was the wife of C. Clair Albright, who preceded her in death in 1999.

Born July 14, 1917, in East Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Stewart W. and Media A. (Bruaw) Shindle.

She graduated from Manchester High School. Mrs. Albright and her husband operated Albright's Grocery Store, Shiloh for many years; and later she worked for Sylvania Electronics near York. She was a longtime member of St. Matthews Evangelical Lutheran Church, York, where she attended and had been President of the Women's Sunday School Class. More recently, she attended services at Menno Haven Chapel. Additionally, she had served as a volunteer for the Blood Mobile of the American Red Cross; and was a member of the Shiloh Fire Co. Auxiliary.

Mrs. Albright is survived by her grandson, Scott Hake of York. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret E. Schrader; and brother, Gordon E. Shindle.

There will not be a visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Menno Haven Chapel, 2075 Scotland Ave., Chambersburg. Chaplain Vernon D. Isner will officiate.

A graveside service will be held Monday, July 16, 2012, at 10 a.m., at St. Jacobs Union Cemetery, York.
